Eze is a lovely mountain village in French Provance, which is very close to the Nice city center. From Nice Ville train station, You can buy a train ticket for €5 to Monaco direction and it will just take 15 minutes to reach Eze. However train station is at the seaside of the village. Therfore to reach the old village at the mountain ,you have to catch thea bus #83 which costs €1,5. There is a bus in every one hour so its better to check the timetables before coming to Eze. Bus journey takes around 20 minutes and then you reach the top. We recorded a a video for details. Click here to watch.
Once we arrived Eze , volunteer guide (actually owner of a souvenir shop) welcomed us 🙂 His place is just across the bus station. I just bought a hat you will sow it in the pictures (which I love very much) and he gave us information and some tips about the village. He is also good at English, better than our hotel reseception in Nice. 🙂
On the way to the top point, you will see lots of restaurant and shops in the caves. They are really lovely. When you reach the top, you will see a nice Botanic Park. and The Church of Èze L’église d’Èze.
You should find the Chateau Eza at the top. Prices are high to eat something but it is suitable to have drinks. I reccommend you to drink fruity red beer for €10. They also serve you delicious starters with the drink. We have a quick video for you to visualize the place . Click here to watch. Chateau Eza is also the best point to have panaromic view. I’m sure that you will capture wonderful pictures in here.
Another attraction of Eze is the Fragonard Parfume Factory . You can join the free tours and see the production phases of parfumes, creams and all body products. Don’t forget to play the scent guessing game! 🙂 In this game you will try different parfumes and experts will teach you the key points of recognizing a scent. You can buy little cream parfumes for €6 as a lovely gift for friends.
After covering those must seen places of the village, its better you just spend some time by walking in the tiny streets of Eze and discover cute places… Enjoy! 🙂
