Trogir is one of the most beautiful cities in Dalmatia. It was designated a UNESCO World Heritage site in 1997. If you are planing to come this region by airways, Split Airport is the closest airport to Trogir. The fun fact is that, Split Airport is actually closer to Trogir than Split! 🙂 To reach city of Trogir, you can take a public bus from the airport. It takes only 10 minutes to arrive center of Trogir. For the attractions in old town, we have detailed post and a video for you. Click here for more… 🙂
Around the city walls, you can find plenty of dalmatian restaurants, bars, cafes, ice cream shops. Inside the city walls, you’ll feel yourself as if you are in a labyrinth. Don’t be afraid to get lost and enjoy being lost in this lovely old city 🙂 somehow you will reach to seaside or one of the gates…
Hint: Some of the restaurants near the seaside has big and delicious lobster that you should taste! Just ask the ladies in front of the restaurants for the food that you like, they will give you info.
Trogir is a lovely city surrounded with city walls on the central Adriatic coast of Croatia. You shouldn’t miss the sunset in Trogir. On top of Ciovski Bridge and in front of the castle may be the best places for that. Then, have some drinks and chill out in a cafe.
If you’d like to swim in Trogir, unfortunately sea is not very clear in the center of Trogir. The best thing you can do is to take a boat and go to the Medena Beach. Every half an hour or so boats takes off to the beach and return until very late. Boat ticket is 20 Kn per person. It takes only 20 min to reach Medena beach.
By travelling with the boat, you will also find chance to see old town from the sea and take nice photos of the city.
Hint: If the beach is overcrowded, start walking through the trees, the tiny path will take you to a small hidden bay. You will see just a few people in here so you can enjoy the silince and crystal clear water alone:) Wish you a nice holiday travellers! <3
P.S.: I have created a short video for Medena Beach. Watch here & have fun 🙂
